These old vines planted in an area with a distinct and unique terroir give to our Aligoté a remarkable richness and balance. The initial nose of mint and hawthorn develop as the wine opens up to reveal more complex aromas of lemon and grapefruit with a smoky mineral background. The flavour is refined and full bodied, with citrus over tones giving a long and refreshing aftertaste. The Aligoté marries well with Mediterranean style foods and cheeses such as Roquefort. The fruit flavours will develop more chestnut and mineral characters with time.
