Ruby red with purple tinges. Intense aromas of red berries 'en confiture' with a hint of spice. Lively with a well-integrated acidity. Well-balanced, harmonious, generous with well-shaped tannins. A super 'everyday' Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat and sauced pasta dishes. Soil: Clay-limestone. Site: Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Cote de Beaune and the Cote de Nuits, with 25% from the village of Marsannay. The vintage 2005: Exceptional after a superb growing season - cold winter, rainy spring followed by hot and dry summer. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness and in perfect health, hence minimum sorting was required.
