Nose. Light, polished oak. Lemon, cinnamon and ginger. Palate. Assertive flavours. Sweet then suddenly dry, salty, and nutty. Finish. Long, echoing interplay of crystal-sugar sweetness and oaky dryness. Soothing. As a relatively restrained whisky, Glenkinchie stands up well to the amontillado finish.
