Sauternes is the legendary sweet white wine of Bordeaux made from the nobly rotted grapes of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc vines. Noble rot? A very specific and benevolent botrytis or fungus it attacks ripe grapes in the autumn and shrivels them thus concentrating their sugar acidity and aromatic compounds. Divinitus is golden richly textured Sauternes from a top vintage and made entirely from Semillon. It offers aromas of lemon curd creme brulee and citrus zest. The palate is rich yet refreshingly balanced. This wine is a great finale to any special meal.
