De Bortoli Late Harvest Semillon (half bottles) 2002 WHITE Australia

De Bortoli Late Harvest Semillon (half bottles) 2002 WHITE Australia
In typical down-to earth fashion the Aussies refer to their sweet dessert wines as 'stickies'. And this one is a bit of a bargain. Its made by the De Bortoli family who made their name in the sweet wine stakes when their Noble One Semillon took on the best of the French Sauternes ... and won! This may not be in quite the same league but it's fabulous nonetheless and incredibly good value. Made from late-harvested Semillon grapes it combines sweet Seville orange marmalade fruit with creme brulee flavours and cleansing acidity. A great match for lemon or pineapple meringue pie Summer puddings or tarte tartin.
