Clos Delem Semillon 2003 WHITE France

This ripe nutty and refreshing Semillon is made at the Clos Delem vineyard in Bergerac to the sunnier south of its famous neighbour Bordeaux. Normally French winemakers blend this noble grape with Sauvignon but here it is 100% Semillon - given a delicious twist by a talented Australian winemaker combining fresh zingy citrussy New World fruit with classically elegant Bordeaux-style minerality. Delicious on its own with fresh seafood - and especially wild salmon.
