Chateau Filhot 2005 WHITE France

The sweet wines of Sauternes are some of the most prized in the world and Chateau Fillhot one of the region's best-known estates. If you're looking for a lusciously sweet yet well balanced dessert wine to serve with blue cheeses foie gras or fruit flans you couldn't ask for a finer more keenly priced vintage than Filhot 2005. Boasting a lovely honeyed aroma with sweet flavours of pineapple Seville orange apricots and spice. Rich and creamy in the mouth it's full yet fresh thanks for balancing acidity. Though drinking beautifully now it will develop more complexity with age.
