Chateau du Coing de Saint Fiacre 2005 WHITE France

Chateau du Coing Muscadet is made by the dynamic Chereau family from a treasured plot of 80-year-old vines. Their stunning 18th century estate nestles in the confluence of the Sevre and Maine rivers with a unique terroir renowned as the region's 'Grand Cru'. Far from resting on their laurels the family have worked tirelessly at further increasing the quality of their fruit - and their old vines respond magnificently by boosting flavour intensity to superb levels. Quality emphatically confirmed by three Golds and a top rating from wine bible Guide Hachette. Attractive peach apple and pear aromas with hints of butter and quince. Crisp and intense in the mouth with subtle mineral notes and great length. Beautifully balanced and fresh serve chilled as an aperitif - or as an accompaniment to juicy prawns or grilled fish.
