Wilson's Special Cuvee Chardonnay 2003 WHITE France

Wilson's Chardonnay is among The Club's highest recommendations for Summer dining. If you like rich fresh Chardonnay - particularly from Australia or Burgundy - you'll adore Wislon's. Made from specially selected parcels of southern French fruit it balances New World levels of 'tropical' fruit with Burgundian-style elegance underpinned by a swathe of oak. The wine takes its name from great Aussie winemaker Brian Wilson who crafted the first ever vintage in 1998.(The 2003 incidentally is made by another Aussie Chardonnay expert Andy Coppard.) Golden colour with masses of long-lasting peach melon and apricot flavours and aromas. Toasty oak notes and impressive depth and structure. Lovely on its own yet equally able to match the richest chicken pork or veal dishes.
