Valbene Picolit (half bottle) 2004 WHITE Italy

Beautifully presented and absolutely delectable this delicious off-dry Italian rarity is crafted from the dried fruit of the Picolit vine by Allesandro Gallici. There are only 25 hectares of Picolit in the whole of the Friuli region of northern Italy ... and the grape isn't really grown anywhere else. It really is a rare treasure and this one is of such terrific quality it was awarded Silver at the International Wine Challenge. Immense sweetness and concentration but beautifully balanced with mouthwatering notes of honey and almonds. A delight served chilled on its own or with blue cheeses or desserts.
