Tamada Mtsvane 2005 WHITE Georgia

Our first ever wine from Georgia - a superb Sauvignon-like white that we'd love everyone to taste! Georgia's Mtsvane grape - 'mits-varn-yay' - was prized by the Russian nobility for its mouthwatering character and terrific richness. The Tamada winery's Mtsvane caught our attention after the 2004 vintage won an international Gold ... and when the winemaker showed us his new 2005 we took as much as he could spare. Spicy peach and apricot aromas lead to crisp mouthfuls of refreshing intense white fruit with attractive mineral and oak notes.
