Rocca di Acquaviva 2004 WHITE Italy

Made from a great blend of local Italian varieties including Verdicchio this wine is a real find - from a virtually unknown DOC. This eastern coastal area around Falerone is steeped in history the famous Roman philosopher Cicero fought amongst these hills whilst briefly serving in the Roman Army. Our friends at Moncaro are pretty much the only producers who make this wine whilst the rest of the world misses out on this delicately fruity complex white - and the Italians would like to keep it that way! Fresh fruity and golden with hints of white spring flowers and citrus fruits. Perfect as an aperitif and full enough to serve with seafood or with chicken.
