From the hills in the heart of the Marche Region famous for its Verdicchio Rocca Colmontano is made by the multi award-winning Moncaro cellar. Traditional and modern farming techniques coexist reducing the impact on the land through the use of biological methods. The winemaker is the dynamic Giulano d'Ignazzi who has worked in Chile and injects his whites with an almost New World-like freshness whilst still retaining Italian character. Working with both New and Old World flying winemakers Moncaro has become one of the most important cellars in the region - and with two wineries: one exclusively for red wine production the other specialising in white.
