Rocca Colmontano 2004 WHITE Italy

From the hills in the heart of the Marche Region famous for its Verdicchio this is made by the multi award-winning Moncaro cellar. Traditional and modern farming techniques co-exist reducing the impact on the land through the use of biological methods. The winemaker is the dynamic Giulano d'Ignazzi who has worked in Chile and embues his whites with an almost New World-like freshness whilst still retaining their Italian character. Working alongside 'new' and 'old world' flying winemakers they have become one of the most important producers in the region with two cellars: one exclusively for red wine the other specialises in white.
