Paddle Wheel Colombard Chardonnay 2005 WHITE Australia

This deliciously fresh and fruity Aussie all-rounder is named in honour of the paddle steamer that travelled up the mighty Murray Darling River. In the early 19th Century this was the sole provider of the Angove Family winery's equipment and supplies. The secret to this mouthwatering wine was early-picking so the grapes kept their crispness. In the cooler temperatures of 2005 this wasn't too tricky and this Colombard Chardonnay has a lovely depth of flavour. "Golden with lightly floral aromas of pineapple and green apples. Fresh juicy fruit flavours with a youthful edge. Great to quaff on it own; equally tasty with chicken salmon or spicy vegetable stir-fry."
