Oratoire de Millegrand Sauvignon Blanc 2006 WHITE France

Chateau Millegrand have earned 'Premier Grand Vin Classe du Languedoc' status and a huge fan club for their red ... and today you can get your hands on their equally fine Sauvignon! Few get to hear about (let alone taste) this tiny production number. Very special but then it is the 'baby' of ex-Lafite winemaker Olivier Bayle. Key to the thrilling purity and Sancerre-like minerality is a single plot of vines planted at 900 metres (it's cool up here!) on a uniquely stony part of the estate. Olivier harvests at night for even greater freshness. "Tantalising grapefruit aromas. Supremely elegant and deliciously pure tasting. Top aperitif."
