Lovingly hand crafted 'Le Clou' is made to resemble fine white Burgundy ... but for much less than the usual #20-a-bottle price! Little wonder it's become a real favourite over the years! It's only made in the very best vintages using fruit sourced near Carcassone - a region famed for its cool-climate Chardonnay. Winemaker Jean-Marc Sauboua has won plenty of awards for his wines and has developed an extensive network of grape-growing friends in the area which allows him to cherry-pick only the very best fruit. Complex flavours of lemon lychee and toasty butter from nine months spent mellowing in the best oak barriques. Rich and fat with a long dry finish. Like fine Meursault it's a must for luxury dining.
