La Zerba Terrarossa 2006 WHITE Italy

2006 was a superb white wine vintage across Italy and nowhere more so than in Gavi - famous for its refreshing minerally whites - where the sun-drenched grapes gave intense fresh lemon and lime flavours. La Zerba is unique among Gavis in that the tiny vineyard it hails from has iron-rich red-hued soils ('terrarosa') which imbue the wine with a gorgeous Chablis-like depth of honey and minerals. A wonderful partner to grilled fish dishes.
