La Renardiere Chardonnay 2003 WHITE France

This lightly oaked Chardonnay is named after one of the parcels of vines that makes up the blend "La Renardiere". The land in turn takes its name from the many foxes that live wild in the area. The wine is made by the Vignerons de la Noelle whose cellar is in Ancenis half way between Nantes and Angers. The cellar was founded in 1952 and the wine is made by Franck David who studied locally and has worked in both Muscadet and Sancerre - he is very much a white wine specialist. The cellar is very well equipped with the latest technology which enables them to bring out the extremely expressive aromas of fruit and white flowers.
