The great French wine bible the Guide Hachette gives this Reserve Brut enough praise to set the proverbial cat among the Grande Marques pigeons! Haton is famed for his commitment to his vines and as both grower and winemaker has complete control over what he produces - miniscule volumes. Most of the Grande Marques houses do not have such control as they buy their grapes in. "Just turning to a lovely golden tinge with a hint of biscuit. This independent grower Champagne is Chardonnay based with a soft citrus and stone-fruit fleshy mouth-feel intertwined with fine acidity. Delicious with barbequed seafood."
