Jaffelin 2005 WHITE France

Jaffelin 2005 WHITE France
Writer Anthony Hanson writes in his book 'Burgundy' that Rully is "a very beautiful wine - one of the best value white Burgundies available' ... and we couldn't agreee more! This one from the textbook 2005 vintage and star producer Jaffelin is one of the very finest. Made using prized 70-year-old Chardonnay vines that lie next to the Premier Cru of Meix and with the miserly yields of a Grand Cru it gives terrific intensity of flavour. "Lovely honeyed apricot and white flower aromas. Then piercingly pure flavours of crisp apple with a classic mineral freshness and satisfying richness from eleven months in finest French oak. Very classy indeed. To 2011."
