Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spatlese 2005 WHITE Germany

German Riesling covers a multitude of styles that are incredibly rewarding for those who take the time to discover them. This Graacher Himmelriech Riesling is a spatlese and accordingly medium sweet with remarkably fresh balancing acidity. The Graach vineyards are geographically part of the great six kilometres long slate mountain above the right bank of the river Mosel and incorporating such world-famous Riesling sites as Berncasteler Doctor Wehlener Sonnenuhr Schlo?berg and Himmelreich. Planted almost exclusively with Riesling vines the Graacher Himmelreich vineyards cover 87 hectares. The exposition is facing south-west and the soil consists of fresh weathering clay-slate on which the Riesling thrives. Off-dry spicy Mosel Riesling from a fine vintage. Elegant peach and exotic fruit flavours with fine minerality.
