Estampilla Torrontes Sauvignon 2007 WHITE Argentina

Torrontes "one of Argentina's most exciting grapes" (The Times) is a discovery well worth making. In this mouthwateringly crisp white made along very organic lines its gentle spiciness is combined with racy Sauvignon giving a wonderfully fresh vibrant result. In Famatina Valley's high-altitude vineyards warm days and cool dry nights give the ideal conditions for ripe concentrated grapes - with refreshing zesty charm. Whilst snowmelt from the hills provides the purest irrigation ideal in the near desert-like conditions. "Delicious leap-from-the-glass aromas of grapefruit lead to juicy pineapple and orchard fruit flavours. A lively aperitif that also goes very well with salads and light fish dishes."
