Don Cristobal La Pinta Vineyard Verdelho 2005 WHITE Argentina

Light zesty and approachable ... this gem is clear proof that "Verdelho ... can be sensational" (The Daily Mail). It comes from one of Don Cristobal's finest sites in the foothills of the Andes. The vineyards 700 metres above sea-level were named after one of Christopher Colombus's ships that sailed across the Atlantic for the first time 'La Pinta'. Vines have been planted here since the 15th century - long before any of the Bordeaux Chateaux were established. This crisp Verdelho has vibrant acidity and considerable zestiness. Enjoy as a refreshing glass on its own or with seafood pancakes scallops with a chilli dressing topped with creme fraiche smoked salmon with blinis or chicken dishes.
