Domaine de Rhodes Roussanne 2006 WHITE France

Domaine de Rhodes Roussanne 2006 WHITE France
Domaine de Rhodes is made in the style of white Chateauneuf-du-Pape. It boasts ripe stone fruit flavours subtle oak plus a coveted Wine Challenge award - and tastes far more expensive than its humble #59.99 might suggest. That low price comes courtesy of our long association with the Barthe family owners of Domaine de Rhodes for four generations. Their estate is blessed with precious rows of old Roussanne vines a southern treasure that provides the backbone to white Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Early morning picking has preserved aromas and freshness in this mouthfilling white that recently out-performed many star names at the International Wine Challenge. Lovely golden colour gives a clue to the peachy aroma and ripe apricot and nectarine flavours which follow. Creamy and rich with a crisp finish. Brilliant with all kinds of seafood or chicken dishes.
