Domaine de l'Herbe Sainte is a terrific little family property who seem to be doing everything right ... the quality of their Chardonnay was streets ahead of any others tasted by our buyers on a recent trip! The Greuzards fell for the grape in their native Burgundy - and headed south years ago to discover a very special almost impossibly stony patch of land. Here the only things that grow are wild herbs ... and top-notch Chardonnay. The family's pluck in growing grapes on this difficult terrain has earned the respect of the locals who have christened them the 'kings of the stony terroir'! Gorgeously intense with deep golden mandarin and fresh peach flavours finishing with a mineral crispness. Wonderful as an aperitif or teamed with green salads and fish.
