Domaine Danubiane Cuvee Traian 2005 WHITE Romania

Light and refreshing Riesling Italico - an ancient grape - is combined with crisp thirst-quenching Sauvignon grown in pre-Roman vineyards. Wine has been made in this part of the Danube since the 4th century. Production flourished after the conquering Romans established the city of Drobeta - a great trading centre and now home to Domaine Danubiane. Dry with floral aromas and lemon and grapefruit flavours with a hint of exotic fruit. Delicate on the finish it will match beautifully with white meat or seafood dishes.
