Chateau Ferreyres 2002 WHITE France

Fruit-filled style of the New world meets the crisp elegance of the Old world in this classic wine. For this deliciously crisp white Bordeaux father and son team Francis and Benoit Betin were joined on their small family estate by Australian winemaker Nick Hatherly bringing a touch of Aussie know-how. Francis and Benoit know their vineyard like the back of the hand so they can spot exactly when to pick their grapes at their ripest and most flavour-packed. "Sliced green apples Sicilian lemon white flowers and cucumber all assault the senses" (International Wine Challenge 2003). This richly aromatic white is delicious served with goats cheese cold roast chicken and green leafy salads.
