Altos del Conde 2006 WHITE Spain

Located near the remote town of Horta St. Joan where Picasso used to paint the mountains of the up-and-coming Terra Alta region in northern Spain are blessed with plenty of sunlight warm days and cool nights. This excellent climate means that the white Macabeo (known as Viura in Rioja) and Chardonnay grapes give deliciously intense fresh fruit flavours. These perfectly ripe grapes are then transformed by the expertise of multi award-winning winemaker Josep Guerrero into zesty refreshing white wines like Altos del Conde. "Packed full of zingy citrus fruit flavours with a generous dash of tropical melon and peach from the Chardonnay. A delicious aperitif this wine will also partner light chicken and fish dishes admirably."
