Kloovenburg Shiraz Rose 2007 ROSE South Africa

Kloovenburg Shiraz Rose 2007 ROSE South Africa
Kloovenburg is a beautiful Cape estate set against the Kasteel mountain. Owner and winemaker Pieter du Toit has selected the best suited red grape varieties for his range including Shiraz Merlot Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon. He's a very exacting fellow is Pieter who once spent several days replanting a block of young vines his keen eye noticed to be ever so slightly crooked. No expense is spared in the pursuit of excellence. Drip irrigation of the vines for example is strictly controlled. Soil moisture is measured daily by neutron hydrometers. But what of the wine? This is gorgeous rose made from the free run juice of freshly crushed Syrah grapes. Fresh as a daisy with red berry aromas and hints of sweet spice. Dry fruity lively and a great match for fresh Atlantic salmon seared tuna steaks or king prawns.
