Les Deux Clochers Pinot Noir Rose 2006 ROSE France

Pure Pinot Noir this seductively soft sexy wine is in huge demand thanks to its charming hue ripe strawberry flavours and a certain cachet. One of France's best-kept secrets is that the Touraine region of the Loire grows tiny amounts of delicious Pinot Noir. Most is turned into supple fruit-laden reds but a little is crafted into wonderful roses like this which rival the far pricier roses of Sancerre. Les Deux Clochers is a top find from a lovely vintage. With careful tending Jacques Vigier keeps his yields very low giving his Pinot Noir - a variety notoriously difficult to grow - great quality and ripeness. With delicate red berry aromas this elegant refreshing rose is brimful of soft fruity charm. Enjoy with seafood seared tuna or cured ham.
