Chateau La Grave 2005 RED France

This sumptuous deeply flavoured barrel-aged gem is an absolute must for claret fans. From a terrific little estate whose 50-year-old biodynamically grown vines (think super-organic!) thrived in 2005 "Bordeaux's best ever vintage" (Wine & Spirits magazine). The chateau situated in Saint-Germain-de-Graves has been owned by eight generations of the Duc family since 1850. Current winemaker Sebastien Duc draws on the knowledge handed down by his forebears along with the "gift of Madame Nature" as he calls it to craft this elegant classically wooded claret. Deeply coloured brimming with ripe red and black berry aromas with a touch of cedar wood. Fine oak gives excellent structure complemented by a long long finish. Delicious with traditional roast beef.
