Chateau Gillet 2005 RED France

Overseen by star 'Cru Classe' consultant Pascal Poussevin this small Gold medal-winning estate enjoyed its best ever vintage in 2005. The charming chateau has been in the Nadau family for five generations. Their 30-year-old vines are planted in deep limestone soils and produce rich concentrated fruit - especially in 2005! Classic Merlot-rich claret with redcurrant aromas and warm mouthfilling red berry flavours. Gentle barrqiue-aging gives this plum-drenched wine a captivating roundness. A wonderful food-friendly wine.
