From the now legendary 2005 vintage - "the best in 1020 even 100 years!" say Decanter - Chateau Fontcaille Bellevue is a classic blend Saint-Emilion blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc from virtually organic vineyards. It's fittingly treated to an extensive period of ageing in premium oak barrels from a Premier Grand Cru Classe Saint-Emilion estate. Lashings of rich plummy Merlot flavours complemented by ripe redcurrant and cassis from the Cabernet Franc. Full rounded - and ageing in such fine oak adds a lovely touch of spice.
