Chateau Florie Aude 2005 RED France

With a buying office in Bordeaux our ear is certainly closer to the ground than most. The first rumblings of excitement surrounding a vintage or rising star estate and we're there. If we like what we find we've usually done a deal and departed before your average English wine merchant has even got through the queues at terminal two. And so it was with Chateau Florie Aude - a classic claret from a small unassuming estate that performed like a cru in the great 2005 vintage. Crimson red with ripe berry and sweet earth characters. Supple and juicy in the mouth with lovely structure. Decant to bring out its best. Serve with roast lamb or duck.
