Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou 2004 RED France
The Borie family's Ducru Beaucaillou is an impressive estate overlooking the Gironde producing one of the greatest St Julien clarets. In 2004 conditions conspired to produce exceptional quality prompting 93 points from Robert Parker who fell for its "tremendous purity and depth". Deep ruby with an intense floral bouquet hints of blackberries and black cherries. Full-bodied with silken fine-grained tannins.
