Beaucastel is one of Chateauneuf-du-Pape's - and the world's - greatest wines (Decanter) It's hard to overstate the majesty of this wine which is the flagship of one of the finest family properties in the southern Rhone. Organically managed the vineyards contain all 13 permitted Chateauneuf varieties. It takes real mastery and generations of wisdom to coax layers of flavour out of all them let alone bring them together in such complete harmony. A year in traditional barrels further develops the beguiling complexity. Deep and dark with smouldering black fruit and nuances of bay leaf and thyme. Our precious cases are first come first served.
