Chateau Cap de Magnet 2005 RED France

The estate's old vines small yields and limestone soils resemble Saint-Emilion and with its seductive mouthfilling fruit - so does their fine 2005 release! Owned by the current family for over four centuries the estate's winemaking history in fact dates back even further. During excavations in their grounds they discovered a 1500 year old amphora! Carefully selected this Merlot-rich Bordeaux Superiour with its rich garnet colour is hugely enjoyable. Aromas of raspberries blackcurrants and fresh spicy flavours are balance with smooth round tannins. Well balanced and fruity.
