Yarrunga Field Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2006 RED Australia

This big Aussie red hits the mark every time and is the 'house red' of many fans thanks to an amazing depth of blackcurrant and oak. Sam Trimboli is Down Under's most bemedalled winemaker. To make Yarrunga Field he uses Australia's classic combination of chocolatey spicy Shiraz grapes with the blackcurrant flavours of Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a ruby-purple wine with ripe aromas of blackberry plums and figs. Black fruits follow in a mouthful framed by dark chocolate and moreish spices. Drinking superbly now with peppered steaks parmesan or shepherd's pie.
