Vi?a Romita 2005 RED Spain

This smooth old-vine beauty is from the village of Alcanadre in the hot and dry region of Rioja Baja. A classic Rioja 50/50 blend comprising Tempranillo and Garnacha from vines over 30 years old and high up - 600 metres above sea level. This means cool nights - an important factor in retaining delicate aromas - whilst the ridges and hills heighten sun exposure giving seriously rich concentration. Opulent raspberry fruit aromas with a hint of spice. Full-bodied well-balanced and concentrated plum and raspberries on the palate with a delicious touch of pepper. Round ripe and rich. A masterpiece of balance and power.
