Riverina Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 RED Australia

Looking for a change from claret or perhaps Aussie Shiraz? Sam Trimboli's Riverina Cabernet Sauvignon promises super-charged cassis and brambly flavour. Every release from International Wine Challenge Trophy-winner Sam is a wine to watch out for but he really does his fans proud with this latest release. Sam's Cabernet comes from prized vineyard plots in the heart of the Riverina Estate and in the heatwave 2006 vintage the flavour concentration is quite something. Beautifully balanced in spite of its power with plenty of ripe blackcurrant fruit and subtle hints of eucalyptus. With some grilled sausages or lamb chops and ratatouille and a glass of this Cabernet you'll be in seventh heaven.
