R.E. Vintners Shiraz 2006 RED Australia

This Shiraz has everything fans of the BIG Barossa reds love - masses of silky smooth bramble fruit cloaked in spicy oak. It's a real thoroughbred from a top estate's 60-year-old vines ... aged in premium quality oak barrels - AND made by Rod Chapman - a legend in his own right who has crafted no fewer than 18 vintages of Australia's greatest red ... #100+ Grange. We can't name the winery (it would undermine their full-price wines) but we can confirm it has an impressive international reputation! For this sort of quality you could happily pay the double. Pitch black with intense ripe bramble rich cocoa and spicy oak character. Awesomely rich and smooth. A fitting choice for jugged hare pheasant casserole or a mild meaty curry.
