Prince d'Albret Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 RED France

Merlot and Cabernet have a mutual affinity most evident in the fine wines of Bordeaux. A little further south around the rugby-mad town of Toulouse you'll find some delicious and great value alternatives like the excellent Prince d'Albret. Mid brick red with aromas of red fruits and spice. Ripe plum and blackcurrant flavours and lovely supple tannins. Best with grilled lamb chops home made beef burgers or shepherd's pie.
