Langlois-Chateau La Bretonniere 2003 RED France

Langlois-Chateau was founded in 1885 by Edouard Langlois and his wife Jeanne Chateau (hence Langlois-Chateau not Chateau Langlois!). It is well-known for its sparkling wines which so impressed the Directors of Champagne house Bollinger that they bought the estate! Today the Bollinger team showers attention on all the wines made at Langlois-Chateau including the spectacular La Bretonniere. Crafted from the classic Loire red grape Cabernet Franc this Silver medal-winning beauty has never tasted as fine and rich as it does in the exceptionally warm 2003 vintage. Bright cherry colour black cherry fruit and ripe plums aromas. The palate is rich and concentrated with a lovely velvety texture. Long fruity and silky.
