Jean-Pierre Large 2005 RED France

The firmest cru of Beaujolais (Hugh Johnson) the village of Morgon sits on the crumbling slate of the Cote du Py producing mouthfilling wines from the Gamay vines grown there. Master winemaker Jean-Pierre Large learnt his craft on the golden slopes of Burgundy's Cote d'Or. As you'd expect of a true Burgundin Jean-Pierre takes immaculate care during winemaking to extract the maximum fruit flavours and colour. Plump cherry and plum flavours are perfectly offset by delicate mineral notes. A meaty long-lived cru wonderful with game.
