Sparkling Shiraz has an astonishing fresh crimson colour and the taste of ripe blackberries ... immensely quaffable and vibrantly strong (The Financial Times) - and premium McLaren Vale is home to Australia's finest examples. The Aussies adore this big bold sparkling style and since it's only made in tiny quantities very few examples make it over here ... so we're thrilled with our discovery! One of our contacts Down Under pointed us in the direction of a tiny family winery with a big wine. Giovanni Patritti established his boutique winery in 1925 using all his Italian know-how and handed down his extensive experience to his three children who now continue the tradition. Deeply rich mouthfilling Shiraz with a gloriously dark colour and ripe bramble flavours lifted by very fine bubbles. Great for celebration dinners.
