Four Mile Flat Shiraz 2005 RED Australia

Luxurious richness and finesse combine in this cool-climate Shiraz a debut release from Victoria's picturesque Pyrenees region. It's made by another hugely acclaimed estate whose premium Shiraz sell for over #20 a bottle! Once again this incredible deal necessitated a vow of silence on our part as to the true identity of the estate - they couldn't risk such a low price undermining their upmarket status. The 2005 vintage was "the best of my winemaking life" as one local producer put it and this full-flavoured classic is accordingly rich and dense with magnificent billowing aromas and generous flavours of black and red berry fruits light oak and a touch of spice. Four Mile Flat is an area close to the estate where gold was discovered in 1851. This fine red proves treasure's still to be found here.
