Finca Federada Fairtrade Malbec Oak-Aged Reserva 2005 RED Argentina

Argentina's best reds are dominated by Malbec now fully established as the country's signature grape. The best ... feature vivid dark fruit flavours racy acidity and minerality. (Wine Spectator). So it's fitting that this exceptionally high quality Malbec is our first certified Fair Trade wine. Made by the Finca Federada estate in the remote Famatina Valley 60% of this superbly rich Malbec has been aged in French oak barriques for an extensive eight month period. "Beautifully dark red with warm aromas of spices and plums. Very full and well balanced in the mouth with vanilla chocolate and tobacco complexity. Very smooth. Serve with steak and kidney pudding game casserole roast beef or duck."
