Don Elias Gil Garnacha 2004 RED Spain

This is terrific news for fans of rich Spanish reds! Don Elias Gil is from a tiny quality enclave neighbouring Priorat (the home of Spain's most desirable and expensive reds - think #30 a bottle). A richly juicy old vine gem our buyers are very excited about Terra Alta because the old vineyards date back to the 1840s and provide the perfect ripening environment. Hot hot days counter-balanced by cool nights means the fruit is supremely sweet and juicy yet retains all its freshness. 2004 was a 'classic' year (compared to a blistering 2003) and produced wines with greater finesse. Deep ruby red with a richly spiced jammy aroma. Each mouthful bursts with raspberry and cherry fruit. This is quality and value from hidden Spain and should not be missed!
