Domain Gabor Pinot Noir 2006 RED Hungary

Domain Gabor Pinot Noir 2006 RED Hungary
Of the world's aristocratic red grapes Pinot Noir is by far the most difficult to grow so usually you only see two types ... Domaine Super Expensive from Burgundy or cheaper imitations in supermarkets that frankly don't even taste like Pinot Noir. Rarity and price mean many wine lovers never find out what the fuss is all about - silky seductive hauntingly aromatic and positively addictive. Which is why soft supple Domain Gabor is such a find. From a unique vineyard on the southern shores of Hungary's Lake Balaton it is very Burgundian in flavour - but not price. Classic light ruby with graceful aromas of crushed raspberry ripe cherry and violets leading into an elegant mouthful of forest fruits and notes of earthy truffles. Balanced seductively smooth and a real treat with cold beef or boeuf bourgignon. A triumph much-loved by top writer Hugh Johnson.
